This is a typical design for a new building’s backup power supply. Three generator sets provide emergency power to the entire building. When a power outage occurs, all three generator sets start simultaneously. After starting, the control cabinet determines the building’s load. If the load is less than the output power of two generator sets, the first and second sets jointly supply power. Only when the load exceeds the power of two sets does the third set also provide power.
