Ubungo Ministry of Water 1.6MW EPS Generator
Ubungo, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania — 1.6 MW EPS Generator
Project Overview
The Tanzania Ministry of Water facility in Ubungo supplies water pumping and treatment for Dar es Salaam, where a power interruption can cut water supply to a large population. The facility required a diesel generator for water pump and treatment standby to keep operations running through grid outages.
H&C supplied a 1.6 MW EPS generator built around a Cummins KTA50 engine and Stamford alternator. The unit provides automatic standby power for the facility's pumps and treatment systems and has supported uninterrupted water operations since its commissioning in 2020.
